When this 20-something programmer-kid who reports to me happened to notice the title of this article on my screen he said something like, “You aren’t really going to write that article, are you?” His attitude is exactly why I am writing this article. Don’t get me wrong.

I think this is a great article.
I would like to mention that if you are talking about building Web Apps — Access (including the upcoming Access 2010) is pretty limited.
You can of course then turn to tools like PHP or Visual Studio.Net or Ruby, but these tools require that you be a proficient developer and even then because you have to code a lot, they are time consuming. In addition if you want web apps to be fast, highly interactive and “desktop” like in richness you need to use AJAX techniques – which in turn increases the skill level and time needed to build these apps (because you now need Javascript, CSS, XML, Sever Side scripting and DOM object expertise.)
A lot of developers I am speaking today are talking about Alpha Five v10 (www.alphasoftware.com) which they say lets them build modern AJAX web applications much for easily and quickly.
